Instructions for Installing the NRR Software on Windows Vista

 

You must have a legal copy of Windows Vista to install The NRR software.  

Solution #1:  Get all your updates for Your Windows Vista before starting.

 

First, Install No Rift Rife as normal

Go to Program Compatibility Wizard (Windows Vista) (Best way to find it is, Click on "Start" next open "Help and support" then type "Program Compatibility Wizard" now "Start the compatibility Wizard" You may be prompted to "click to open the Program Compatibility Wizard"  next Check "I want to locate the Program manually"  on the next page click on "Browse" and go to "My Computer" or it may just say "Computer" next click on "C" drive then "Program Files" you are almost done.  You will see "NoRiftRife" file click on it and the "NoRiftRife Dual Sweep" and the last file to click on is "NoRiftRife". After you click on this file it will load where you selected Browse, no click on next, on the next page leave the check on "Do not apply a compatibility mode" and click next again.  On the next page do not check anything, just click next.  Now, the page you are at needs the box checked that says "Run this Program as an administrator" and click next.  You need click non "Allow" to trust NRR software to run.  Your Activation box will come on the screen.  Please enter your Activation code, name, and state EXACTLY THE WAY IT IS IN THE EMAIL THAT WAS SENT TO YOU UPON PURCHASE. Total time less than 10 minutes.

 

Solution #2.  On your computer screen go to “Start”, then “All Programs”, then “Accessories”, then “Windows Explorer”,  In windows explorer click on “Computer”  then scroll down to “Local Disk (C:) “  then “Program Files”  Then “NoRiftRife” Then “NoRiftRife Dual sweep” then RIGHT CLICK ON “NoRiftRife…Application”   Now select “Properties”  then select “Compatibility”  and check the box that says “Run this program in compatibility mode for:”   In the drop down box select “Windows XP (service Pack 2)”

 

You may also need to select “Run as administrator” in the compatibility box.

 

If a box pops up and says “An Unidentified program wants to access your Computer” Click on allow or you will not be able to open the software.

 

Solution #3:

1.  On your computer Go to “Start” then “Control Panel”  and under “Security” Click on  “Allow a program through Windows Firewall” Now, make sure the box is checked at the bottom that says: “Notify me When Windows firewall blocks a new Program.”

 

Solution #4:

Disable User Account,  you can Disable User Account controls

If you are able to use the software after this then you will know

It is your computer not giving you the permissions as administrator.

 

You can turn it back on by following the directions on the same link.

 

Now Click on your NRR icon on the your desktop.  You should be able to enter your Name, State, and Serial Key.  ENTER YOUR NAME, STATE, AND SERIAL KEY EXACTLY THE
